Issue with Adjusted Gross Income on State Taxes

I completed my federal portion of my taxes on my Turbo Tax which is a downloaded program purchased on-line.  The program for some reason imported my total income from the federal return onto to my state form under the adjusted gross income section.  Why is my Turbo Tax importing total income from the federal return instead of adjusted gross income for the AGI entry?  My state taxes are being calculated by TurboTax based on the total income instead of the adjusted gross income.  I contacted Turbo Tax support and they advised I would need to add additional tech support at a cost for help.  Any help would be appreciated from the community.

You don't need to pay for help with that.   Maybe you didn't get official Turbo Tax support but a third party.   Have you updated the program?   Go up to Online- Check for Updates.   Which state?  Not all states are ready yet.

Thanks for help, but apparently program is up to date and my state is online....  For some reason my AGI from the federal portion isnt transferring to the state correctly.  My state form is calculating tax based on total income instead of AGI....
