Taxes return is late

Hey, so I filed my taxes and pay the 25 dollars to get it earlier than usual but my taxes are now late by a week and I haven’t gotten any update from TurboTax about what’s happening. My friend got an email from TurboTax saying their taxes wasn’t able to be filed in the 5 day period so they were refunded the money but I don’t know the case for me. On the IRS website, the status is just saying the return was accepted. Please help

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account. If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

thanks for replying. I did all of what you have recommended. It’s just saying accepted on the irs website.

@kr547_ Then you know that the IRS has your return and that they are working on it. Now you have to be patient while the IRS processes the return. Some returns take longer than others.
