Sweet. Can I ask what state your in? Sometimes they have a method when they send payments out and I’m trying to figure that part out. A lot of people seem to be around East coast so far
also, did he use turbo tax free edition?
I did use turbo tax free edition and I’m in va @Kimmediato22
Can it be put on pre paid card?????
Thanks for the reply. I’m in California and I’ll update you guys if anything happens here.
they could do it by income as well but I was just curious
So far it’s 4/4 on the East coast
Since New York and close areas were hit the hardest with Covid , I would expect that they would send it your way first. I’m happy you guys got info and if anyone who paid tax prep fees in any way gets a message please let the community know
Not unless it has a routing and checking number.
Recently it has been noted that these ‘tax return cards’ (which are debit cards) are tied to an actual bank account so those routing numbers and account numbers are provided to the government for payment. So in reality, no direct payments are being made ‘to these cards’ but instead, they are being direct deposited to the bank accounts of which the debit cards are linked.
Hope that helps answer this common misconception.
Thanks for reading.
Did you have the fees deducted from your refund ? People are saying if you had them deducted from it then you wont recieve the stim check via turbo tax debit card .
Hi I didn't get any email or any notification how can I find out more but I have the turbo card
So will we get paid threw the turbo cards or are we screwed and have to give the irs a new routing number? This is crazy 4 PEOPLE 4 different answers
Did u receive yours
@charles757710 I hope for you guys that didn't get fees or advances! I work, but I'm disabled as well, I hope they go off my Social Security information which has my real bank acct. Attached to my payments now!
I don't know whether the stimulus will go on the Turbo card but this is what I do know- the Turbo Card is issued by Green Dot Bank. Santa Barbara Bank is a subsidiary of Green Dot. Not the other way around. Green dot is the parent company. The portal to input your DD info will be up by April 17th on IRS.Gov.. Stop trolling people trying to get them worked up. Its not cool.
I spoke with a representative from TurboTax last night around 7pm and she told me they're pretty confident it will go onto turbocard. Although this was not 100% confirmed, that is the info they've received in communications with irs as well.
Turbo Tax just lost a Customer. I've been a loyal customer for years and now it's finished! Does anyone know of legitimate Tax Preparation places online that doesn't use this third party crap? TT you stole our money when we used "FREE" Tax software that we were really charged for and now this. I wasn't going to pursue with being apart of the joint lawsuit, but now I will be a participant and to hopefully karma comes back to them and Green Dot Bank as well as their other companies like Santa Barbara. If anyone needs info about the class action lawsuit and filed for free services, but we're charged just ask and I'll send the contact info. We use these advances and fee payments because it's less headache, but now your screwing loyal customers again. Big middle finger to TT and it affiliates! They help those who never filed or spent a dime with them, but screw all of us. Classy Move to get more money from the Government and to try and to get the big guys on your side before the lawsuit goes to court!
Thank you for also clarifying this! The fact is on your tax return on line 22 I believe it shows a routing and account number. This is the number that irs will use for the stimulus deposit. If you used turbo card, the routing and account number will be those of the turbo card. The irs has no clue what kind of card, bank, or whatever else institution that is for. Therefore, you will get a deposit to your turbocard unless your card is no longer active. THEN you would default to a paper check.
