    Paper filing ? Make an extra print copy or photocopy for your own records.

    Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing ( or mailing).
    You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason.
    AND, to find your AGI next year.

    @Tax_question10

    For a paper-filed 2019 tax return send in this year...a wild guess would be 2-9 months before they even look at your paper tax return to get it into their computers.

    A lot may depend on where your mail-filed tax return is in their stack.  The IRS manual entry staff is a fraction of normal during this pandemic. Those mailed in Feb would be processed and in their computers months before any mail-filed in July...since they appear to be  processing in-order of their receipt.   ( You did personally put it in the mail yourself didn't you? )

    So if you do need a transcript as proof of filing  2019 for any reason, it won't be available until it is actually entered into their computers .
