I have completed my federal and state returns and have successfully transmitted them during the e-filing process. However, the return was rejected because it says my AGI does not match IRS records. I called the IRS to verify the AGI they have in their data base is the same AGI TurboTax is indicating for the prior year. The numbers are identical as they should be since I e-filed my return last year using TurboTax. The IRS claims this is a TurboTax software problem and TurboTax claims it is an IRS problem. I transmitted a second and third time and kept getting the same rejection notice. Does anyone have any idea why my return doesn't get accepted for e-filing and what I might be able to do about it.

It is more likely a problem with the IRS AGI database, as taxpayers from other than TT have had similar issues. Try using 0 (zero) instead.

Yes, putting zero in for last year's AGI worked perfectly. The IRS accepted the return! Thank you.
