Tried filing tax return electronically and get error message with same SS number already submitted.

What does that mean if had not filled my return yet? I owe IRS for 2019 taxes.

It depends.

Did you file using the non-filer registration tool to register for the stimulus payment? If so, you will need to mail your tax return in.

Switch from E-file to mail

If this is not the case, please see the following information from the IRS if you believe someone filed a tax return using your social security number.

Reporting suspected tax fraud

You will not be able to e-file your return if you are getting a message indicating your information has already been reported on a return filed. You will need to mail your tax return in.
