Why does my refund says “ :

REFUND AMOUNT : 500

STATE : 350

& this the part I don’t understand under state amount it says : 

tax credit took : 500 OFF YOUR TOTAL TAXES … what does this means ?

It means, on your state tax return, you received a tax credit of $500, and your refund amount (taxes owed - payments and credits) from your state is $350.

Your refund from the IRS is $500.
