Tax Penalties

I filed taxes this year and received my state refund so far. I haven’t filed for previous years (2020-2022). I wouldn’t owe taxes, met health insurance criteria and dependent criteria as well. Would I get penalized? How can I file those tax years, online or mail in only?

There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if you have no taxes owed or you are receiving a tax refund.

To complete and file a prior year (2022 thru 2020) tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the desktop editions for each tax year required from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

A prior year tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.

Use a separate envelope for each tax year when mailing multiple years.
