Tax History

Hello. I am using a download of TurboTax for Mac. I have noticed that I do not have any history or comparison with prior years taxes. I believe that when I was doing my taxes in the past I could always see where I stood versus the prior year. Then I could look at the tax history and see a five-year history. However this year none of those items have loaded into the 2021 software. Is there someplace that I can add these or input these items so that I can review.

Did you complete a 2020 tax return using the 2020 TurboTax software installed on the same computer as the 2021 TurboTax software?  If so, you should have transferred the 2020 tax data to the 2021 tax return.

Yes, I used the same computer that i used last year.  When I started the return, I completed that steps that you attached.  I even tried to start my return over again just now.  It loaded all of my personal information, like my SS# and dependents, but not any tax history.

So when you go to Forms mode after transferring the 2020 tax data, there is not a Tax History report shown in the list for forms, schedules and worksheets?

Were there multiple tax data files shown for tax year 2020 when transferring and if so, are you sure you selected the correct one that was used to file your 2020 tax return?

I did figure it out.  I downloaded the PDF document of last years taxes.  When I downloaded the .tax file, everything imported from the prior years.  I looked and did not see this mentioned anywhere but anyway it is solved.
