Your issue is very common.   There are very long delays at the IRS this year.   As of early July the IRS is about 15 million returns behind in processing any returns that need any manual review.    I'll tell you about the auto-debit of the TurboTax fees lower down in this answer.

First, be sure your efiled return was accepted .  If you used Online TurboTax, you can check by logging in and looking at the Tax Home.     If the efile was accepted, then you can use the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool to check the status of the Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If that IRS tool says your return is "still being processed", then it is undergoing some kind of manual review, but the IRS is so backlogged as I mentioned above that it can take weeks (or even months) to move through the stages.

As for your email, is it from TurboTax in regard to your product fees?  If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if your Federal refund has been delayed unusually long at the IRS (or if it's been reduced), after a certain number of days TurboTax will want to be paid.  They likely started sending you emailed bills to pay.  If you didn't respond by either paying or asking for a deferment, they will ultimately debit your bank account.  If you wish to ask for a deferment, you need to do so quickly.

See this FAQ that explains the process.  The first paragraph of the FAQ has a special phone number if you have a question or have a hardship and need to ask for a deferment.

Hours are 5AM-5 PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern),  Mon-Fri.

If you need to ask for a deferment, you should call them as soon as possible.  Once they actually start the debit process, they say they can't stop it.
