Tax Deductible Issue

My wife was in a Memory Care Facility for the last 8 months prior too passing. Can I deduct the monthly payments on my taxes?

Hi JVP.

Certain medical expenses can be claimed.  1040 Schedule A.  There is a limitation of 7.5% adjusted gross income (AGI) to met in order to be deductible.  I have attached a link for medical expenses to see if your expenses are qualified.  IRS Pub 502 will provide the best resource for you.  Hope this helps.
