System requirements for running turbotax 2021

If free disc space of 500 GB is required, I will not be able to run turbotax.  I only have 256 GB SSD.  I guess I will be using another tax prep software this year.  It's hard to imagine that 500 GB would be required !  5 GB maybe, but 500 ?

This requirements currently show the actual requirements for installation.  If it previously read 500GB, that was clearly an error.  The systems requirements showing today are the minimums for the download/CD.    TurboTax requires just 1 GB of hard drive space, and recommends 2GB (or more) of RAM.  See the link that @Anonymous_ posted - this is where the current systems requirements are listed.

If you are still seeing the 500GB requirement somewhere else on our website, please respond and include the link so that we can be sure to get that fixed!

You must have misread the system requirements since the program (and MS .NET) should take well under 10 GB of disk space.

No I did not.  Go to the Turbotax website.  It clearly says 500 GB under systems requirement for PC download.  It calls for 1 GB Ram which makes sense.  Did they mean 500 MB?  I could believe that!
