Switch from online to desktop version not working - Data not imported

Hello, 

 

I have almost finished the tax return of 2022-2023 using Turbotax online. I haven't paid. I would like to switch over to the desktop (mac) version and paid for the desktop version. After importing my data from online on desktop version, I still don't see my current year's tax return data being transferred to my Turbox tax dektop version. It did trasferred my last year's tax return successfully to desktop, but data this years which I have alread finihsed on website is not trasffered. Could you please help with that?

Using your desktop edition you do not import the 2022 tax data file to the 2022 desktop edition.

 

Click on the File menu.  Then click on Open Tax Return.  Then click on Browse or Find tax file and go to the location where you downloaded the 2022 tax data file from the online return.

Hello, thank you for your reply! It sounds like from your answer, I will need to downlaod the 2022-2023 tax data file from turbo tax and then import to the desktop edition. I haven't finished the 2022-2023 tax return on line, can I still I download it from the online return? How would I donwload it?

@keke111 To download the 2022 tax data file from the 2022 online editions -

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Tools

Click on Save your 2022 return to your computer

Oh nevermind, I saw it now after clicking on my return. Thank you @DoninGA !
