Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this or not. I noticed that when I uploaded some info to the intuit portal for my CPA, that in the bottom-right corner is a red button that says STOP SCREEN SHARE. That troubled me. Is my screen being shared with someone? I clicked it and nothing happened.

No one?...
Does Intuit support monitor this forum?
To share your screen you will be asked to confirm that.
Your CPA would be online with you.
After the call ends, so does the sharing.
It sounds like you never did any screen sharing.

Perhaps you're right. But I don't think that would explain why the "Stop Screen Share" button is visible, would it?
I may have found the answer. (Maybe) I usually use the Firefox browser. When I log into my Intuit portal, I see the STOP SCREEN SHARE button. But when I log in with Microsoft Edge, the button is not there. Most browsers (Chrome, Edge, etc.) use the same code, except for Firefox, which uses its own unique code. And sometimes, a website forgets this, and doesn't make allowances for the different code, which can cause problems. And perhaps that is why the button is visible in Firefox, and not in Edge.
(I periodically run into problems on sites using Firefox that I don't see with other browsers. But I continue to use Firefox because overall, from what I have heard and read, it is a more secure browser than the others).

Is that what screen sharing is for? To share your screen with your CPA? Then I am guessing that the STOP SCREEN SHARE button is for ending the screen share with the CPA. Correct?
My CPA uses the Intuit online service to collect my tax documents. I had the same issue with Chrome. I had not shared my screen with my CPA or anyone recently. Clicking on the button doesn't do anything. At least not that I can tell. When I previously ran into it, I cleared my browser history and I believe it went away. It just came back. Any guidance would be appreciated.
I solved my problem by disabling Adblocker Plus (an add-on to my browser) for the Intuit site .
