Stimulus

My husband receives SSDI and should receive his stimulus direct deposit. How do I file for my stimulus as a non-filer? Do I file as married filing jointly? Will this cause a double stimulus payment? I want to avoid that.

If you are non filer, you can file a simple return here to get the stimulus: Stimulus Registration. This should not cause a double stimulus payment, as the IRS has your husband's SSN through SSDI.

Do I  file as single or MFJ? We are still married.

Thanks.

Hello

My question is my wife is filling HOH as we've been separated for the year. She will be claiming our 3 children as dependents. I will be filling MFS. My total income for the year was 55,827 and her income was 39,843. She also had Unemployment compensation of 659.00.

And Family leave of 1,110 that was includedin her Box 1 W-2.

Interest received from IRS in both our names of 32.00.

How do I enter income or the breakdown of income on my 8958 Form? Thank you.
