I have used TurboTax for many many years. I used to live in California but now live in Washington State. How do I remove the California state program from the TurboTax software? Every time I start TurboTax and it applies updates, it applies updates for the California software which I no longer want or need. It is frustrating and adds additional time to the software update process.

No - I don't want to delete the state return, I want to delete the state SOFTWARE. When I log on and it says I have software updates, it will update California state software which I NO LONGER USE or want.

Please help!!!

This year there's not much that you can do outside of contacting customer service for assistance on how to prevent the state updates.  Next year you will want to not download the state, even if one state is included as a free download, unless you decide you do actually need a state return.
