What was your state of residency? answer already entered, "Just N.C, No reference to N,C. any where in the input screens.Where did this come from?

It is initially asked in the My Info section of your return where you first enter your name and other personal details. You are asked for your state of residency and if you lived in any other states during the year.

In that same section you are asked if you had income from other states. All of this information combined with your income data will determine which state tax returns need to be filed.
