State Fee Up Charge

Why did I have to pay a fee for filing state federal and state return after paying for the Deluxe which assured my that I would not pay any fees for federal and one state filing.

Next step for me: FTC complaint and State AG complaint.

Turbo Tax screwed me years ago, I only returned this year only to get screwed again.

Nonsense.  I will bad mouth this product and never use it again. The drive to sign up for other products is flat our wrong and technically incorrect as I already have, nor did TT recognize that I already had these service providers.

State Fee Up Charge

With desktop software there is always a fee for e-filing a state return.   When the software includes the program for the state it is free software to prepare the state return.   E-filing the state incurs an extra fee, which can be avoided if you print and mail the state.

From the TurboTax site:

Read what it says here under the prices for desktop Deluxe:

State Fee Up Charge

The online Deluxe charges you for each state.  The desktop may include a free state return, but charges for e-filing that state.  Deluxe does not have a separate fee for e-file.
