SSA-1099 Survivor benefit

We received a survivor benefit in 2023. I'm looking at the "Retirement Plans and Social Security" section. Why does it ask for a year between 1984 and 2022?

You must have indicated that there was a lump sum payment on the SSA-1099 that you received for tax year 2023.

If you did NOT receive a lump sum payment in 2023 then go back and answer the question NO.
