Spouse's filing status

I don't know how my spouse will file, I'm itemizing I cannot finish my taxes until I know how he filing?

Not necessarily. If you are itemizing, its your spouse that would need to itemize as well. He would need to know that you itemized.

Do you own a home together? You can have a sense of whether someone will itemize.
