I lost my husband in Feb 2021. Can I file my taxes as Married Filing Joint? Is funeral cost deductible?

For tax year 2021 you can file as Married Filing Jointly since your spouse passed away in 2021. When entering their personal information you will have to check the box that the spouse passed away and then the date of passing.

Sorry, funeral expenses are not reported on nor deductible on a tax return.
