Splitting income for part time resident

I was a part time resident in 2 states ... exactly 6 months in each state. Started residency in new state on June 1st. One of my 1099-R forms has allocated the income I received differently probably because I did not update them of new address until after I moved. So the 1099 is showing income based on a 5 month/7month split. Should I recalculate the income based on 6 months or go ahead and report it the way my financial institution reported it ?

Splitting income for part time resident

Enter the 1090-R on the federal level as is.

Then on each state interview, you will (probably) have a chance to enter some adjustments to federal income.

If you have questions on how to do this, you will have to come back and tell us which states.
