Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund
If your bank account was closed and you requested direct deposit of the federal tax refund, the bank would have rejected the deposit and sent it back to the IRS. The IRS would then mail the refund as a check to the address on the tax return.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If the status of the refund is Sent and you never received the check in the mail, go to this IRS website for lost refunds - https://www.irs.gov/faqs/irs-procedures/refund-inquiries/refund-inquiries-0
