Saved 2015 return to my desktop with no password. Cannot load it into 2016 Turbotax without password. Asks for last 4 digits of SSAN, but doesn't work. Help!!!

Was your 2015 return prepared using Mac software on the same computer that you are now using for 2016?

Or did you happen to use a Windows computer in 2015 that was using Windows XP?

Problem solved!

I prepared the 2015 return on a different Mac computer than I am using now. I saved the 2015 return on the old computer using a password and was able to import the encrypted 2015 file into the 2016 Turbotax software on the new computer with no problem!
