So if TurboTax does not have access to our second stimulus check why is it a big write-up about it

Because we know that this stimulus is important to you and your family and we are committed to getting you your money.  However, please understand that your stimulus payment did not get sent to TurboTax.  It comes directly from the IRS through either direct deposit, a check or TurboTax Card. TurboTax does not keep your money.  Besides, we want to provide our customers with as much as information they should know from the IRS about the stimulus payments.

As of today, according to the IRS, there was an error occurred on their end, where million payments were sent to the wrong accounts and some may not have received their portion.  We have been working tirelessly on a solution with the Treasury and the IRS. As a result, our expectation now is that within days the error will be corrected and stimulus payments will begin being deposited into the correct bank accounts. We have also re-confirmed with the IRS that they have all of the correct banking information for our customers.

To check the status of your stimulus payment, please visit the IRS Get My Payment tool.
