Smart Check - Student information sheet

Somehow it thinks I (the parent) is a student and wants me to fill out a worksheet because it says I put education expenses in for me.

I only put in the information expenses for our daughter, 1st year college student and I put expenses in along with the 1098-T information.

I don't know where it thinks I (the parent ) has education expenses.

When I check NO on "Was this person a student during 2020 it gives me a red error.  It has my name on the worksheet.

You need to review your form 1098-T entry in TurboTax, in the Education section under Deductions and Credits. When you edit that section, the first screen you see will say Your Education Expenses Summary and there you will see which taxpayer the education expenses are being assigned to. If you are listed there as opposed to your daughter, you will need to delete the entry and add it in again under the correct name.

All the information was using the name of our daughter only.  I went into edit for each section to make sure.

When I redid the Smart Check it still comes up with the Student Information Worksheet with my name and SS# and question 1 is "was this person a student during 2020?

Sine it has my name I check no so it makes it a Red box.

    Any other suggestions?

I suggest you delete the form 1098-T and re-enter it.
