The updates almost certainly applied data that you had previously entered that hadn't been able to be applied before.
Review your returns and make sure that all of the numbers are what you entered. If you're using the desktop program just switch to forms view and you'll be able to review your 1040. If you are using the online program you'll need to pay for the software first but - before you file the return - you'll be able to review a pdf of all of your tax forms showing what you've entered.
If something is amiss at that review then you can go back and edit the numbers or come back here with more questions.
