Should my information on w2 appear in different box than what it says on my w2?

my information on W2  box 14 is showing up online under box 12. i uploaded my information from my computer and the information on box 14 is showing under box 12

Both boxes 12 and 14 of the W-2Form can contain reductions to your taxable income and have codes to identify what the reduction is.  For example in CA, taxpayers have a deduction for California State Disability Insurance (CA SDI). Sometimes you will find it in box 12 and sometimes in box 14.  It doesn't matter what box it's in, just enter the correct description in the dropdown menu.
