There is absolutely no difference between the Form 1040-SR and the Form 1040 except the 1040-SR has a larger type.
If you were 65 or older at the end of 2022, your return will be on a 1040SR, which is identical to a Form 1040 except that it has bigger print and spreads itself out over 3 pages instead of 2. The lines are identical and the calculations are identical. Your tax due or refund will be the same whether you use 1040 or 1040SR.
When you print it will print on the 1040SR even if you see only the 1040 on the screen. You automatically get the 1040SR if you or your spouse is 65 or older. In the Desktop program you can tell it which one to print.
They should call it 1040-LP 🤓
