Should I file interest income if it is below $10 and my bank did not generate 1099-INT form?

Do I still have to file my interest income if my bank did not generate 1099-INT form because my interest income is less than $10?

Yes.  Interest is taxable, even if it is below the reporting threshold for a 1099-INT.  In order to report this, you can enter the information into TurboTax the same way you would have if you had received a 1099-INT.

Here's how to enter a 1099-INT into TurboTax Online:

  1. Under "Let's import", choose "Enter a different way."
  2. Choose Interest, continue
  3. Choose "Type it in myself"
  4. Enter the information regarding the interest you received.
