Seller Agent Commission selling Rental Property - Commissions

Hi I'm a real estate agent and i'm selling my rental property, which i will get a 1099 for. On my rental property, Can I still deduct the commissions as an expense for the rental property?

If you will get paid a commission for the sale then that income goes on your Sch C  AND    all the expenses of the sale will be added to the cost basis on the property and be reflected on the 4797.

@Critter-3 - but if the sales commission is reported as income, can you deduct that same commission on Form 4797 as a cost of the sale.  I wouldn't think so.
