Self employment tax

I am filing with Turbo Tax Self-Employed portion.  I will owe self employment tax.  Does Turbo Tax pay this pit for me as well as my other federal income tax?  OR Do I have to pay that out separately, they are just telling me how much they calculate I owe?

Self employment tax

Of course TurboTax doesn't "pay" anything with respect to your taxes; you're the one that gets that nice job.

But, the Self Employment tax calculated by TurboTax is added to your taxes on Form 1040, line 57

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf

and is part of the summing up of your "total tax".

Self employment tax

Thank you Tom, yes, that is what I meant to communicate.  When I finish with Turbo Tax the amount of tax I owe and pay out will include both my federal income tax, and my self employment tax.  I just wanted to make sure I did not leave out a step, or have to pay the self employment portion separately on my own.  Thank you for the quick response!
