Section 179 Carryover

I am using TurboTax Home and Business on the MAC. I have used TurboTax in prior years and brought over my information from 2024. My taxes are showing an error  of "Carryover Worksheet, line 24, the total Section 179 carryover does not match the sum of the Section 179 carryovers shown on each activity. What does this mean? This isn't something I touched.

TurboTax shows an entry in line 24 for 2024. When I look at my Carryover Worksheet for 2024 it shows blank in line 24 and a 0 for 2023.  What is this and how do I fix this? Should this just be zero? Is this a TurboTax bug?

Your section 179 deduction carryovers would appear on line 10 of your depreciation Forms 4562. You need to add them up and put the total on line 24 of your carryover worksheet, in the previous year column. That number is wrong for some reason but it should not affect he calculations on your return.

If I understand correctly, put what is on line 10 of form 4562 on line 24 of form 4562.

In my case there was nothing on line 10 of form 4562 so 0 on line 24 of my carryover worksheet. Correct?

Yes, if you had no Section 179 carryovers on Form 4562 Line 10, you would enter zero on the carryover worksheet.
