Second stimulus wrong account

Is TurboTax going to answer this question with accountability? Is TurboTax taking care of the issue? Please answer our question.

My guess is the second option is what happened. Here are the options:

 

1. You paid for your return before filing or

2. Did you have the fees taken from your refund or get the Green Dot debit card

 

If #1, the stimulus check will go to your bank account/ home address directly from the IRS - the same as your federal refund.

If #2, the stimulus check will go to SBTPG/Green Dot and then be routed to you. My understanding is an additional 1-2 days. Anybody that chose to pay their TurboTax fee out of their refund opted to have SBTPG as an intermediary. You may contact Green Dot at 888-285-4169.

 

You may check the status of your payment at IRS.gov/GetMyPayment

Thank you so much for this helpful information.  Can you just guide us for when we call Green Dot?  What will they need from us to get clarity?
