Several users have reported problems with importing files from Schwab this year.
When importing, make sure TurboTax and Windows are both updated, and temporarily disable all anti-virus software (including modem). Make sure your broker does not require you to allow 'third party access', which you may enable in your broker account, if this applies. Some users reported that disabling security software solved the issue.
If your financial institution is a TurboTax 1099 Import Partner, you would likely have been able to import your 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-OID, 1099-R, 1099-NEC, and 1099-MISC (without entries in boxes 8 or 10) by January 31, 2025, and likely have been able to import your 1099-B and 1099-MISC (with entries in boxes 8 or 10) by February 15, 2025 and if your brokerage issues a consolidated tax statement with several types of 1099s, which is common, you might not have been able to import any of your 1099s until February 15, 2025.
Also, make sure you have selected the correct company name from the import list.

If you followed the importing steps in TurboTax and still don't see your forms:
Try clearing your cache and cookies. Log out of TurboTax and back in. Try a different browser (Chrome normally works well. If after trying all of the options mentioned you still have the same problem:

UPDATE 2/27: After trying one more time last time last night to import and receiving a message saying that TT could not connect to Schwab at all (vs. prior message indicating they had connected but I didn't have any forms available, which I did), I decided to wait and see if someone (TT or Schwab) might have been working to address this problem. Happy to report that I was able to import today, no problem. Just wish I hadn't spent so much time yesterday trying to troubleshoot the problem!
2/26: I tried every suggestion offered to me by TurboTax on the phone, which basically came from this post. Wish I could report that something had worked. Am giving up and entering manually, which annoys me to no end given what I paid for this software. Am going to follow here though to see if this is ever addressed -- before I decide to buy it again next year! Clearly a TurboTax problem as my son had no problem importing from Schwab into H&R Block.
Thank you for taking the time to report that the forms are now flowing to TurboTax. The exact same thing occurred last year: Schwab reported tax documents available & posted PDFs in accounts but TurboTax would not allow import for another 24-48 hours. I reported this to Schwab both in 2024 & 2025 only to be told that it was a problem on my end. I also spent significant time troubleshooting only to find it resolved only when Schwab finally made the tax files available to TurboTax the next day. Schwab seems content to report limited availability as full availability but hopefully these posts will save others from wasting time troubleshooting a known Schwab omission & oversight. Thanks again.
This wasn't a matter of anti-virus software interfering with a data download from Schwab. It was a disconnect between the time Schwab said the data file(s) were ready to view (download) and Turbotax. It appears the .pdf version of 1099's was available on Schwab before the data file version was. I was able to complete the download Feb 27. The .pdf version(s) were viewable Feb 26.
I have tried multiple time to import from Schwab, I even get the webpage that Schwab successfully downloaded the file and to return to TurboTax. Going to TT nothing is there other than to 'Continue' with the download that doesn't work. I am resorting to manual entry. This will take much less time than failed digital imports.
I have the exact same scenario today, 3/24. Schwab log in works fine, says files found and return to TT. Return to TT and nothing is there.
Has there been any progress on fixing this?
Figured it out - at least my situation. My Brave browser was apparently blocking the transfer. I dropped shields on the Schwab log in page and the files came across.
