Seeing lots of messages/threads in Jan of 2025 with the same issue described below.
Cannot activate the TurboTax Premier 2025 download since I get a window that pops up with "You're not connected to the internet."
Connection speed is 60 mbs, on a 2020 imac running Sonoma 14.8.3. Obviously connected if I can send this message and navigate to any number of other websites and check email.
Tried all of the cookie clearing, restart hints in other threads. Nothing.
Turbotax has worked flawlessly for years for us.
What's the solution?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Just keep selecting the Try Again button, over and over again. Eventually Turbo tax finds the connection and you can move forward.
Unfortunately it does add about 30 - 60 minutes to the return preparation.
If TurboTax is not letting you continue, you can try the following:
Go out of your program and go back in.
Clear your cache and cookies.
Try a different Web Browser.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop make sure all updates have been run on your program. You can do this by clicking on "Online" in the black bar across the top of your TurboTax screen. And then select "Check for Updates".
