In preparing for 2017 taxes I got my deluxe version ready to go and with out putting anything in it says I owe 392 why would that be. I paid what it said I owed in 2016

Did you have an HSA last year?  Turbotax creates a bogus penalty based on the last month rule and some incorrect data transfers.  It will go away when you enter your real 2017 information.  If you have Turbotax installed on your own computer, you can switch to forms mode and track down the source of the number yourself.

Yes I did have an HSA through my employer last year.  I am working off the online version so it has completely thrown me for a loop.
