Hello,
Is there someone at TT who can review our 2022 and 2021 tax returns? We had to pay a significantly larger amount for 2022 even though I had additional money taken out.

Hello lmlilly,
Hope you're doing great! Thanks for your question.
Yes, if you used TurboTax Live and used TurboTax software to do your taxes, we can do what we call an Expert Review. It is high-level review of your Form 1040 to go over line-by-line with you so you understand how the tax is calculated. Just call us from within your TurboTax Online account and ask for a tax expert. We can also do a comparison of your 2021 and 2022 taxes.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.
All the best!!
Hello Imlilly,
TurboTax experts can answer questions about your tax return if you have TurboTax live service, like in your case, why you have to pay so much in taxes even when you had additional money taken out. You can call TurboTax and one of the experts will be able to help you. Following link had Turbotax contact information: https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/turbotax-phone-number....
Please give me thumbs up if this answers your questions.
It appears you were not with TurboTax however; TurboTax has an amazing free tax caster that I like to use to check tax returns and different tax situations. Here is the link: https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/taxcaster/
There were several changes for 2022. Some credits like the EIC and Child Tax Credits went back to the old rules before the last 2 years. Last year for 2021 you could get the Child Tax Credit without having income and you got a larger amount refunded. Now it is a lower amount and can only reduce the tax to zero and not add to your refund. Here's a good answer that explains more,

Print out 2021 and 2022 and compare them side by side to see what is different.
