Review Error on box 17 Code V

For my personal taxes, I've been stuck on an issue for a long while.  For the K-1 box 17 code V says STMT.  So in TurboTax it won't let me put in STMT, so I've tried different things, but I get the same error.  I've read a lot of the former posts on this topic.  Some didn't work, others I didn't understand and some said they had to get support help on the issue and the fix was pretty convoluted.  The review error currently says "Box 17 Code V has been selected but no Section 199A income has been entered on Statement A."  Can I get some guidance for this?  I've spent hours on it over the last few months and would really love to get this fixed.

You need to review the statement attached to the K-1 for the information if any that needs to be entered on the tax return ... very little usually needs to be entered.

I guess what I'm not sure of, is what I put into the box 17 for code V.  I've tried entering in an amount and when I do the review I get the same error.

This is how to fix the recurrent  K1 Error message on box 17 Code V

To fix the "Box 17 Code V" error in TurboTax (relating to S-Corp K-1s), you must enter the accompanying Section 199A income/wage data from your statement into the "We need some information about your 199A income" screen.

    • Locate the Statement: Find the supporting statement for your K-1, Box 17, Code V.
    • Enter Details: When in the K-1 entry screen, enter the code V, but leave the dollar amount blank. Putting 0 into this box will often cause an error to occur.
    • Navigate to Section 199A: Proceed through the interview until you reach a page titled "We need some information about your 199A income or loss". Check this box to fill in more information.
    • Fill in Data: Input the specific income, W-2 wages, and UBIA (Unadjusted Basis Immediately After acquisition) amounts from your statement.
o You may find this information on your K1: Statement A-QBI pass-through entity reporting. Under QBI or qualified PTP items subject to shareholder-specific determinations:
    • Alternatively, If you have no income to report, you may need to delete the code V.
    • To get back to the K-1 summary screen and find the Schedule K-1 to edit, click the "magnifying glass Search" icon on the top row, enter "K-1" in the search window and press return or enter, and then click on the "Jump to K-1" link to find the K-1 you need to edit.
