My Federal and State returns were rejected due to not having a 1095a form included. I have signed into the marketplace and followed all directions on how to find this form online but I do not have one. I even called and spoke with a marketplace representative who assured me that she could not see any 1095a forms on my file either. So then I thought maybe it was for another state because I had created an application via California's marketplace, so I followed directions on how to find a 1095a there after logging in and I do not have any messages or documents in reference to a 1095a there either. I am lost on what to do in order to fix my return by correcting the issue of the 1095a form that caused the IRS to reject it? Please any help will be appreciated.

did you have any dependents on your return? they may have taken out marketplace insurance that
would need to be reported on your return. it's unlikely that a stranger took out MPI in your name or SSN because it would then show up when you did a search
you can also call the IRS to get more information about your issue and inquire as to what to do.
you may have to mail in your return. Then wait to see if you get an IRS notice. If you do you'll need to respond
Call 800-829-1040
It should then transfer you to an agent. Note when its phone lines are busy you may be on hold for a long while or disconnected
Hi, thank you for your response. Yes I do have dependants, one being my 9 year old daughter and the other an adult. I don't believe my daughter could have one that's not in my online account so possibly my adult dependant... I will check with them and look into it to see if that's the hang up. If that does not turn out to be the solution I will call the number you provided for me and follow your directions when prompted. I will also post my progress and outcome in case it may be helpful to anyone else. thank you again this was very helpful info.
