Reporting old HSA

I used up the remaining balance from an old HSA during 2020. Is that alone something I need to report on my taxes?

Did you receive a 1099-SA (you should have)? If so, you must add form 8889 to your 2020 return - when you go through the HSA interview, enter the 1099-SA.

The IRS requires that you add the 8889 to your return if you either contribution money to your HSA or take money out of your HSA.
