How do I input the taxes and insurance paid on my house? it looks like I am doubling up when I put the amounts in the two separate places on the form.

There are two ways to enter the room you are renting on sch E.

One method, you choose to let the program allocate expenses between Sch E and Sch A. The program will automatically put the correct part on each schedule.
The other option is my preferred, where you enter the actual expense % on Sch E and the remainder on Sch A yourself.
