How do I input the taxes and insurance paid on my house? it looks like I am doubling up when I put the amounts in the two separate places on the form.

There are two ways to enter the room you are renting on sch E. 

• One method, you choose to let the program allocate expenses between Sch E and Sch A. The program will automatically put the correct part on each schedule. 
• The other option is my preferred, where you enter the actual expense % on Sch E and the remainder on Sch A yourself.
