Removing State Tax from file

You can delete your TurboTax Online state return (if you haven't paid yet (or registered in TurboTax free)):

1.    Sign in to TurboTax

2.    Select "Take me to my return" button

3.    Click "State Taxes" tab (near the top of your screen) then press "Continue"

4.    Click "Delete" next to the state you want to delete and press "Yes"

If you don't see  the Edit or Delete button on the "Status of your state returns" screen and haven't paid or registered, please do the following:

1.    Click on the "State Taxes" tab then press "Continue"

2.    Select "Start" then press "Continue" to transfer last year's state information.

3.    Click "State Taxes" tab (near the top of your screen) then press "Continue"

4.    Click "Delete" next to the state you want to delete and press "Yes"

If you still don't see the option to delete, just Edit and Start Over (you may have already paid for your state or registered your free version with state attached).
