    If you are using the TurboTax online editions there is not a "Basic" edition.  There is a Free online edition which can be used if you have a simple tax return.

    If you used and paid for one of the other TurboTax online editions, not the Free edition, you must contact TurboTax support to get the payment canceled or refunded.  When contacting support use the key words Billing Issue.

    See this TurboTax support FAQ for contacting support - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/turbotax-phone-number/L0Od33nMQ_US_en_US?uid=lfgviwbm

    Support can also be reached by messaging them on these pages https://www.facebook.com/turbotax/ and https://twitter.com/TeamTurboTax

    @DoninGA

    Yeah, But...they call the Online Live "Assisted" one (no longer free) "Assisted Basic", so that may be what this OP is talking about.

    Scroll down at:  TurboTax Live® 2022-2023 - See How it Works (intuit.com)

    There is also an Online "Full Service Basic".

    _______

    But as you noted, we here in this Forum have no access to "Billing" situations.

    @SteamTrain Thanks....I knew that but failed to equate that to the OP's issue.  You are quite correct in that it could be what the OP was referring to in their post.

    And if you only get ssi or Social Security it is not taxable and you do not need to file.   Do you have any other income?
