I was asked in one of the HSA questions which months I had a HDHP "High Deductible Health Plan." I had more than one employer in 2020, so the question seemed to be related to the employer who provided an HSA, but I have checked that I had an HDHP during the months I was at another employer as well, because that was true even though I didn't have that HSA. Is this OK? The only difference it makes is regarding the contribution limit which the question was trying to figure out. Thanks in advance.

It doesn’t matter whether you had employer coverage or self coverage. What the program needs to know is, on the first day of each month for the year, were you covered by a qualifying HDHP that was eligible for an HSA, even if you did not contribute.
Thanks for that Opus.
