Refund processing time

I read that there are 10 million unprocessed refunds. There were 35 million a few months ago. How quickly  is the IRS processing refunds

Thanks for your question! Based on the math alone, the IRS is processing around 8.33 million tax returns per month or roughly 277,777 returns per day. Now, it could take longer since they typically process the simpler returns get processed faster and the more complex returns are more likely to be flagged for review...but that should give you a ballpark figure.
