Refund Pending, W-2 verification sent in, no progress

My 2018 taxes were accepted on 3/2/2019, according to TurboTax. Two weeks later I received a W-2 verification request from the IRS, then I sent; I then sent a copy of my W-2 and a copy of my DL. I have not received any update from the IRS, per the "where is my refund" website, it still "Still being processed".

My assumption is that they're having issues verifying my name and employer. My W-2 from my new employer uses my middle name on the W-2.

My question: Do I need to prepare a tax return amendment to verify my W-2 further? Should I have my W-2 adjusted to remove my middle name from the W-2?

Please advise.

Please do NOT send IRS anything further unless they write and ask for it! Too much information only slows down the process. If there was a phone number or contact name on the letter you responded to, you an try there. Standard IRS help number = 800-829-1040. It normally takes several months to resolve issues like this.
