Refund amount smaller than it should be

My direct deposit refund was smaller than it should be by the exact amount of one of my quarterly deposits.  All four quarterly deposit checks were accepted by the IRS and are indicated on my bank account statements.  Is it possible that they have not credited one of the deposits to my account, maybe the January deposit?
