My tax file was rejected because of a discrepancy in entry of birthdates. I have corrected to error and am ready to refile but when I view the report before submitted I saw that the electronic postmark report in the file carries the text 'this file was rejected by the IRS. Do I go ahead and file anyway assuming the IRA will now accept?
thanks

Yes you can go ahead and file. The electronic postmark will use the earlier date if you re-submit within a certain timeframe (which is why it shows on the confirmation, since you are not close to the filing deadline it is of less importance.)
yes, thanks very much
