recovery rebate credit

I am claiming my adult disabled son as a dependent for the first time. He and I both received our 1400 each rebate checks last march 2021.  While using turbo tax and answering all the questions accurately the program is telling me I am entitled top an additional 1400 credit because I am claiming a dependent. Does that sound correct?

    Yes, that's correct. You are entitled to the additional credit for your son on your 2021 tax return, even though he received a payment himself based on his 2020 tax return, when he was not a dependent. Your son does not have to pay back the payment that he received.
